Atlanta Baby Photographer
I have been photographing infants for over 10 years and I will take the time to engage your baby and capture the sweet and wide range of expressions you get at home. Your baby photography session will last up to two hours. My photography studio offers a wide variety of photography props to ensure your baby portraits are unique and fun.
Many clients ask me when how often they should schedule professional photography sessions for their babies. There is not right answer for every family, but I do have guidelines to suggest. Most photographers agree that you should capture your baby’s growth at three, six, nine and twelve months. Depending on whether or not your budget allows visiting a professional for every session, this is a good rule of thumb. For those on a more limited budget, I highly recommend capturing six months and twelve months. At six months most babies are sitting unassisted – they are extremely happy and social and don’t mind sitting in a prop or two. These are truly my favorite sessions after the newborn baby stage. Babies who have celebrated their first birthdays often schedule a cake smash session, where we photograph baby digging into his or her first taste of cake. Try not to schedule your baby’s photography session based on age alone. We are trying to capture major milestones, which may fall before after the month marker. Three month milestones include lifting head up with arms while laying on belly and smiling in response to conversation. Six month milestones include sitting unassisted and grabbing feet and toes while on back. Nine month babies can usually crawl, pull up to a standing position and “cruise” holding onto furniture. And at twelve months many babies reach the ultimate milestone – walking! I have specific recommendations for each age, so please don’t hesitate to use the contact form to connect with me about your baby photography session.
