Facebook, anyone?

April 15, 2010

I know I have mentioned this before, but if you want to see more recent work – please visit my Facebook Page.   It is a much faster way for me to share sneak peeks and you can also tag your images. I will be installing a new Wordpress theme to this blog soon that includes a Facebook badge for the top of my banner.

I also have some VERY exciting changes happening with my brand and marketing materials. For now all I can say is….stay tuned.

In the meantime, here are some past due sneak peeks.

See you back here soon!

~M

TonyaMarie: I love the beautiful simplicity of your work. It really lets you focus on your gorgeous subjects!

Once again my blog sits unchanged – a casualty of a busy holiday season both at home and in the studio. I’ve also discovered that posting quick favorites to my Facebook Page (yes, that’s a hotlink and I’d love you to visit) takes about half the time as here. Still, this blog needs some love and I’m going to pour some out!

In studio news – the viewing room is just about ready to go! I will have a comfy area exclusively for ordering sessions and new wall galleries and product samples. I’ll share some pictures here as soon as it’s completed.

Here are some of the beautiful clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with lately:

Hope to see you here (or on Facebook) soon!

Sherri W: Absolutely gorgeous work!!

PamN: Stunning as always Michelle!

Kristie Stuckel (Bella's Bowtique): Yup, stunning! Beautiful work.

Julie: Stunning images!! I love them all (but I especially love the tower of blocks and how he looks like he is holding his breath while placing that last block on the top - precious!)

Sam: Ill go with the consensus. They are stunning.

Lauri: Oh, these are SO beautiful!

Chelsea: I was hoping for a preview. :) oh well. can't wait to see our slideshow!

Cynthia McIntyre: i love your clean, simply gorgeous style!

teri mason: such gorgeous work, as always. I love the simplicity and how your maternity and baby images are just so clean and perfect!

So much to be thankful for…

November 20, 2009

At this busy time of year I try to take a moment and reflect on what really matters – and I’m always astounded at how very blessed I am. So many of you are abundantly blessed as well – I love meeting the tiny new faces that have recently joined us. Thanks so much for letting me capture these first moments with your children and the milestones that follow.

Little Miss E is one of the sweet babies I had the pleasure of working with lately.

And I went on location to visit this sweet little guy and his family~

One plug before the holidays – if you need a unique and lasting baby gift, christening gown or heirloom gown for portraits please my sweet friend Angela’s site Dandelion Avenue. Her creations are simply exquisite and one-of-a-kind…you won’t find more memorable gifts. My niece in one of her gowns…

I’ll leave you with my favorite pumpkin bread recipe. The pudding makes it super moist. Canned pumpkin works best. I love to add walnuts but you can add any type of nuts or dried fruit.

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

2/3 cup oil
2 large eggs
1 cup pumpkin
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 (3-1/2 oz) box instant cheesecake pudding mix
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

1. Mix oil, eggs and pumpkin
2. Combine remaining ingredients well and add to pumpkin mixture
3. Bake in a 9×5x3 inch pan – greased and floured – at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

Best wishes for a warm and happy Thanksgiving in the company of those near and dear to you. Stay tuned later in the week for a Black Friday Studio Sale!!

~Michelle

October 23, 2009

I don’t think there’s anything quite as sweet as the warmth and smell of a new baby.  So consider this past month pure heaven for me.  We’ve had 5 new babies visit the studio for their photo debut and we are expecting 3 more!  I will try to preview everyone here on the blog.

Introducing….Little Miss A~

And another sweet baby girl – Miss N!

And her proud mommy and daddy. Have  I mentioned lately how much I ADORE TATTOOS on dads?

And another fabulousy (<Spell check is telling me this is not a word. Well, it fits. So today I’m using it anyway) tattooed dad with a beautiful mom waiting on baby.

It’s that time of year again! The Holiday Mini Sessions will be open to existing clients first. I will open any available sessions to new clients on Friday, Oct. 30. Portraits will be made on neutral seamless white or cream paper so be sure to wear festive colors! I will have over 40 beautiful card templates from which to choose.

See you here again soon!

April 26, 2009

Meeting your doting parents and capturing the three of you in your debut photo shoot convinced me of this, sweet Miss G. I believe you have Daddy completely wrapped already, which is a girl’s first priority in life. And your mom looks head over heels in love with you. You were such a dream to work with and I think you are one of the prettiest little ones I’ve had the honor of shooting. I’m sure everyone will agree with me!

Getting his game on…

April 20, 2009

Literally! Mr. M was truly a sport (pun intended) and decided that napping inside this Georgia Bulldog helmet was fine as long as I would LEAVE. HIM. ALONE. AND. LET. HIM. SLEEP. ALREADY! I seriously don’t think there’s anything sweeter than a new Bulldog fan. GO DAWGS!!!

And big brother teaches him how to “respect the ball” :)

I finally gave him a moment of peaceful rest…

It’s a gorgeous day here! Hope everyone enjoys the weather. A sweet new baby girl will be featured next…stay tuned!

~M

Connie: So adorable! The newborn shots are precious but big brother hugging the ball is priceless.

Danna: it is always a treat to visit your blog, your work is simply wonderful! your clients are very lucky to have you capture these memories for them.

Brandy: Eeeeek! This post was just filled with cuteness!

Kimberly Hill: I laughed out loud and scared the poor dog! I do hope Mom & Dad will hang those two DAWGS images together in the family room... large! So glad you finally let the wee one sleep and shot the beautiful black and white. What a treasure for years to come.

Tracy Thompson: Beautiful work Michelle, so sweet!!

Jenna: I am mom and believe me when I say . . . we will have many of Michelle's UGA shots hung in the house. You should see the ones I have with both my boys as infants laying on a UGA football that she took . . . and the one of my oldest son sitting backwards in his jersey with a football! Michelle is AMAZING!!! Go Dawgs!!!

Silence is golden…

February 2, 2009

And the cost of having a sleek new blog design :) . As I decided to give Shooting the Breeze a last minute facelift yesterday I forgot how quirky revising a WP Blog can be. You may remember the last time I ventured into this territory I lost all my old posts. I suppose this time I faired a little better – I just lost all of your lovely comments.

So enjoy the new look – and do leave comments when you visit. This place looks really lonely without them :) .

Sneak peeks coming later today!

~M

admin: I think I've restored the comments....little by little! Whew!
