It’s been way too long since my last blog post. That’s what going out of town will do to you – when you return home you have four weeks worth of work piled up because you left for five days .

I’m so happy I was able to attend LightPro in Nashville and pick the brains of so many talented photographers. Here are a couple of pictures – with models this stunning it’s hard to go wrong!

This backdrop reminds me of cinnamon…and the girl is just as sweet.

And this young man gave me the perfect moody gaze for this dramatic lighting….

And it’s back to photographing newborns and babies! Here’s a recent sleepy newborn, Mr. M.

I’ll get to more sneak peek soon. Speaking of cinnamon, here’s a yummy recipe to share. There’s no better companion for a tall mug of hot coffee.

Cinnamon Swirl Quick Bread Recipe 1 hour | 10 min prep

• 1/4 cup butter, softened
• 1 1/3 cups sugar, divided
• 1 egg
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, 1 cup sugar, and egg. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture alternately with the buttermilk. In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and remaining 1/3 cup sugar. Pour a third of the batter into a greased 8X4X2-inch loaf pan. Sprinkle a third of the cinnamon sugar on top of batter. Repeat layers twice. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

Trust me….this stuff is awesome! Your kids might even mow the lawn for a slice.

And her mommy is so stunning she doesn’t look like she just had a baby!
